With the start of each school year comes the opportunity to join new clubs. Every year, Foothill hosts its Club Fair, a two week-long lunchtime event where students advertise their own clubs and sign up for new ones. DECA, one of the largest clubs on campus, shares how Club Fair helps them grow and expand their tight-knit community.

Niyanth Kanakasabapathy [12], DECA President, explains, "Our chapter found success in recruiting members by establishing a strong presence in our school community and through providing members with a wide variety of hands-on learning experiences throughout the school year. We love Club Fair because it gives us a chance to meet new students who might not know about us and are interested in furthering their business education!" Whether it's an academic, creative, awareness, or culture club, Club Fair is a helpful way for all clubs to promote themselves to the student body. But not only do students have the opportunity to join new communities, they can make new friends and meet new people just within the quad. Every year, Foothill Leadership works behind the scenes to ensure each Club Fair day runs smoothly. ASB Club Coordinator Gia-Linh Pham [12] shares her positive experiences with hosting the popular event. "The way I see it, Club Fair isn't just about promoting membership, but building your own little family! (I'm still close with upperclassmen who graduated 2-3 years ago that I met through clubs) If this event can help someone make at least one more friend, then the event has fulfilled its purpose. Seeing those bonds form is definitely the best part of Club Fair!" Pham said. The annual Club Fair is an opportunity for underclassmen and upperclassmen to bond over shared interests and passions, making it an exciting event for both freshmen and seniors alike.
